This week we get to celebrate Tyler “Searlo” Searle as he makes his 100th A Grade appearance for the club. Tyler has been a mainstay of the club having represented it in the junior ranks, and wearing the jersey in our senior squads for many years. Having represented QLD Schools, Stingrays and QLD Country, Searlo has built his legacy on accurate setpiece and defensive efforts. Like all Dolphins Tyler has given plenty off the field, being a conduit between club and players who join us from overseas, especially from NZ. We appreciate what you have and will continue to do for our club. Congrats on 100

ANZAC Round always carries a deeper meaning, and Saturday was a day that reflected exactly what our club is about — respect, effort, and community. Taking on Maroochydore Swans, it was a full club performance both on and off the field. A Grade showed composure and resilience in a physical contest, coming away with a strong 36–26 win. After a tight first half, the boys lifted the intensity, controlled field position, and finished the game the right way. Reserve Grade set the tone early and never let up, delivering a dominant 36–0 performance. Discipline, structure, and effort across the park saw them control the game from start to finish. Women’s continued their momentum with a clinical 17–0 win, showcasing control in defence and taking their opportunities when it mattered. Another complete performance from the reigning premiers. Across the entire club, it was a clean sweep across all senior and junior grades — a huge reflection of the depth, culture, and work being put in right across the Dolphins program. Off the field, the day was just as significant. Our ANZAC jersey auction was an outstanding success, raising over $5,000. 10% of proceeds will go directly to Mates4Mates, supporting Australian veterans and their families, with the remaining funds reinvested back into the club to support our players, facilities, and future growth. A massive thank you to all of our sponsors — your ongoing support is what allows days like this to happen and keeps our club moving forward. To our supporters, thank you for turning up in numbers, creating an incredible atmosphere, and getting behind every team across the day. Your support doesn’t go unnoticed. And to Maroochydore Swans, thank you for the contest and for being part of a respectful and meaningful ANZAC Round. A special day, strong results, and a club moving in the right direction. We go again next week.

Noosa Dolphins Christmas Party & Touch Competition 🐬 📅 Saturday 6 December ⏰ From midday | Touch kicks off 2.00pm 🎅 Santa will be making a special stop during the afternoon! Last years victor’s, Kelly’s Krooks will be out to defend their title with the runners-up, Christie’s Crooners, sure to be out for revenge, with the image of Julian Scott-Davies sliding past a bumbling Joey Caputo, with a deft left step, to score the winning try, still fresh in the minds of the Crooners. Side note: Teams are not obligated to include a ‘Droopy Dolphin’ in their squad however Referees will give special dispensation to Droopy’s playing against ‘sheep station’ teams e.g. Droopy may have to be touched twice, defender touching a Droopy may have to complete 10 push-ups before re-entering the game, if a Droopy scores the opposition may have to drop a player for 2 minutes, and other stuff. Gather your team of 12, or join a team. To register, contact Adam Calcraft on 0415 325 016 or Mick Phelan on 0432 186 010.

Vale Ron Rae – Noosa Rugby Club Legend The Noosa Rugby Union Club is deeply saddened to acknowledge the passing of Life Member, former A Grade Coach and true club legend, Ron Rae. Ron’s contribution to Noosa Rugby spanned many years and left an indelible mark on our club, both on and off the field. As A Grade Coach, he brought passion, discipline and a deep understanding of the game, helping shape not only successful teams but also the character of countless players who had the privilege of playing under his guidance. His tenure was the start of the success we now all enjoy. Over 2 stints as Head Coach totalling 9 years, he secured 7 Premierships including an incredible 5 in a row from 1989 to 1992 and another 2 in 1999 and 2000. More than his achievements in rugby, Ron will be remembered for his unwavering commitment to the club, shaping it’s future, his generosity with his time, and the strong sense of community he helped foster. He was a mentor, a leader and a great mate to many, and his presence around the club will be sorely missed. Ron’s legacy lives on in the players he coached, the friendships he built, and the standards he set for what it means to be part of Noosa Rugby. On behalf of everyone at Noosa Rugby Union Club, we extend our sincere condolences to Ron’s family and loved ones during this difficult time. Rest in peace, Ron.
