June 2024

The Women & Girls Participation Initiative is proudly funded through the Queensland Government’s Active Women and Girls program. Our Club received $7,500 under Category One of this program to support initiatives that encourage and enable women and girls to participate in sport and recreation activities.​​​​​​​

The purchase of our new mower was made possible through a $26,600 grant awarded to our club under Round 120 of the Queensland Government’s Gambling Community Benefit Fund. This funding enables our volunteers to maintain the club grounds safely and efficiently, supporting the ongoing participation of Queenslanders in sport and recreation activities.​​​​​​​

June 2024

Thanks to the generous support of Cancer Council Queensland’s SunSmart Shade Creation Initiative, our club has received funding for two high-quality 3×3 metre portable shade marquees. These marquees will provide vital sun protection for our players, volunteers, and spectators, helping us create a safer and more sun-safe environment at games and events.​​​​​​​

Our Volunteer Skills Development Project is proudly funded through the Queensland Government’s Active Clubs program. The $2,500 provided to our club will go towards educating and training our volunteers in coaching and first aid/medical skills, helping us create a safer and more supportive environment for everyone involved.​​​​​​​

With the support of Federal Member for Wide Bay, Llew O’Brien, the Federal Government’s Stronger Communities and Volunteer Grants Programs provided $2,900. These funds enabled the purchase of small equipment items, and helped reimburse volunteer fuel and transport costs.

Proudly supported by Noosa Council, Round 19 of the Community Grants Program has provided $3,212 for new oval maintenance equipment. This equipment supports our dedicated volunteers in their ongoing efforts to keep our fields in top condition.​​​​​​​

Striving to achieve gender equity in sport, Sport Australia through their Women Leaders in Sport program has supported the professional development of our head of media and communications, Tash Ramsden. Tash was funded $3,350 to complete a Diploma of Social Media Marketing.

Thank you to the Federal Government's 'Stronger Communities Program' (Wide Bay) for providing $10,000 towards Club equipment for our junior and senior teams.

Thank you to the State Government for providing $60,000 for a new Clubhouse roof under the Works 4 QLD initiative. We also extend thanks to Noosa Council for the nomination.

Thank you to the State Government's Covid-19 Recovery Fund our club received $2,000 towards cleaning equipment and $5,000 towards change room configuration for the women's change room.

Our new scoreboard in memory of Jack O'Connor is thanks to the O'Connor family and friends and their fundraising efforts through a GoFundMe page.

​​​​​​​As part of the Liberal and National Government’s investment in community sports infrastructure we thank Federal Member for Wide Bay Llew O’Brien for funding $50,000 towards a new shed & gymnasium upgrade.

Thank you to the Queensland Government for supporting the increase in participation in rugby and recreation activities in Queensland. With the provision of $7,500 in funding we conducted coaching and first aid accreditation across the entire Club.
